Unifying The Tunneling And Anomaly Phenomena In Hawking Radiation
نویسنده
چکیده
In this Letter we have derived the gravitational anomaly leading to the Hawking radiation from a fundamentally different perspective: it emerges due to the complimentary roles played by tunneling and (gravitational) anomaly. We have used the analogy of an early idea [6] of visualizing chiral gauge anomaly as an effect of spectral flow of the energy levels, from the negative energy Dirac sea, across zero energy level in presence of gauge interactions. This was extended to conformal anomaly in [10]. In the present work, we exploit the latter formalism in black hole physics where we interpret crossing the horizon of black hole (the zero energy level) as a spectral flow since it is also accompanied by a change of sign in the energy of the particle. Hence in our formulation the negative energy states below horizon play a similar role as the Dirac sea. We successfully recover the gravitational anomaly. email : subir−[email protected]

Combining The Tunneling And Anomaly Phenomena In Deriving the Gravitational Anomaly
In the present work we have derived the gravitational anomaly from a fundamentally different perspective: it emerges due to the tunneling of particles (in the present case fermions) across the black hole horizon. The latter effect is in fact the Hawking radiation. We have used the analogy of an early idea [17, 18] of visualizing chiral gauge anomaly as an effect of spectral flow of the energy l...
متن کاملHawking Radiation due to Photon and Gravitino Tunneling
Applying the Hamilton–Jacobi method we investigate the tunneling of photon and gravitino through an event horizon beyond semiclassical approximation. Quantum corrections of the single particle action for both cases are found to be proportional to the semiclassical contribution. We show the importance of gauge condition for analysing photon tunneling. Modifications of the Hawking temperature and...
متن کاملConnecting anomaly and tunneling methods for Hawking effect through chirality
The role of chirality is discussed in unifying the anomaly and the tunneling formalisms for deriving the Hawking effect. Using the chirality condition and starting from the familiar form of the trace anomaly, the chiral (gravitational) anomaly, manifested as a nonconservation of the stress tensor, near the horizon of a black hole, is derived. Solution of this equation yields the stress tensor w...
متن کاملHawking Radiation via Tunneling from hot NUT-Kerr-Newman-Kasuya Spacetime
We study the Hawking thermal spectrum in dragging coordinate system and the tunneling radiation characteristics of hot NUT-Kerr-Newman-Kasuya spacetime. The tunneling rates at the event and cosmological horizon are found to be related to the change of Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. The radiation spectrum is not pure thermal and thus there is a correction to the Hawking thermal spectrum. PACS: 04.7...
متن کاملAnomaly and Hawking radiation from regular black holes
We consider the Hawking radiation from two regular black holes, the minimal model and the noncommutative black hole. The flux of Hawking radiation is derived by applying the anomaly cancellation method proposed by Robinson and Wilczek. Two regular black holes have the same radiation pattern except for the detailed expression for the Hawking temperature. The resulting flux of the energy-momentum...
